Alex Medvedeff<\/strong>
Research Technician and Data Specialist
<\/em>Alex is the field and lab lead for the streams component of the NSF-funded Arctic Long-Term Ecological Research Program<\/a> and the manager of the Bowden Watershed Research Lab. He is responsible for all analyses in the lab, data management, and reporting. Alex graduated from the University of Michigan in 2015 with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. He also earned an MA in Educational Studies with Secondary Teacher Certification, also from the University of Michigan, in 2015.

Abby Rec<\/strong>
Ph.D. Student, Natural Resources<\/em>
Abby is a member of the Arctic RIOS research team, an NSF-funded collaborative project with Brigham Young University, Michigan State University, and the University of Alabama. The focus of Abby’s research is on the influences of stream network configuration on metabolism and nutrient uptake in Arctic streams. Will Sutor <\/strong>
M.Sc., Natural Resources, Natural Resources
<\/em>Will is a member of the Iron-Methane-Phosphorus Interactions research team, an NSF-funded collaborative project with the Bigelow Ocean Sciences Lab. The of Will’s research is on the distribution of iron and phosphorus in different soils factions as an indicator of the potential for phosphorus mobility after permafrost thaw. Will graduated from the Rubenstein School at the University of Vermont in 2017 with a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences. Contact:<\/strong> Will.Sutor at uvm.edu<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lindsey Carlson<\/strong>
PhD., Natural Resources<\/em>
Lindsey is a member of a collaborative, McIntire-Stennis funded project designed to explore how the interacting influences of forest gaps and input of woody debris affect stream structure and function in the northern hardwood forests. Lindsay’s focus is on the impacts of forest succession and habitat heterogeneity on stream microbial biodiversity and function. Frances Iannucci<\/strong>
Research Technician and Data Manager<\/em>
Until 2020, Frances was the Lead Research Technician and Data Specialist for the Arctic Long-Term Ecological Research Program<\/a> and was the lab manager for the Bowden Watershed Research Lab, where she was responsible for laboratory analyses of stream samples and data management for a number of Arctic-related projects. Frances graduated from Rubensein School at the University of Vermont with a B.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2015. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Courtney Hammond<\/strong>
Ph.D. Student (completed)
<\/em>Courtney was a member of the collaborative Economics for the Anthropocene<\/a> project. Her Ph.D. research focused farmer attitudes and motivations regarding water quality management polices ind Vermont and New Zealand, which present very different approaches to water quality management. Previously, Courtney graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.S. in Psychology (2011).
