After a long pandemic hiatus from in-person workshops, shepherds gathered at Shelburne Farms for the 2022 Vermont Sheep and Goat Association Lambing Clinic<\/a> on Saturday, March 5.<\/p>\n

Master Shepherd Chet Parsons covered the basics from ewe nutrition, early signs of labor, and when to intervene in a difficult labor, to demonstration of various procedures such as tail docking, castrating, tube feeding and hoof trimming.<\/p>\n
