She will be assisting Extension Director Roy Beckford as well as working with the Across the Fence team.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Minadeo holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Lawrence University, and has done postgraduate studies in film at New York University. She lives in Essex Junction, VT with her husband and daughter. Minadeo is a photographer, a painter, and enjoys gardening and making home movies.<\/p>\n<h3>Caitlin Morgan, Research Social Scientist, UVM Food Systems Research Center<\/h3>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1454\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/site.uvm.edu\/cals-news\/files\/2022\/04\/caitlin-morgan.jpg?resize=200%2C203\" alt=\"A photo of Caitlin Morgan\" width=\"200\" height=\"203\" \/>Caitlin Morgan, PhD, comes from the University of Leeds, where she taught in the Sustainable Food Systems masters program. Previously, she worked at University of Vermont as part of a team developing a serious gaming methodology for testing policy interventions, to increase food and health equity in the northeastern United States.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan employs qualitative and participatory approaches to understand how the structure of systems either support or impede peoples actions, such as a consumer seeking to eat a healthy yet affordable diet, or a farmer attempting to improve environmental outcomes while staying financially viable.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan conducted her doctoral research at the University of Vermont, where she studied how local food systems in New York and Denmark balance the competing goals of environmental sustainability, social justice, and economic viability. She received her bachelor of science degree in Conservation and Resource Studies from University of California, Berkeley and her master of science and PhD degrees in Food Systems from the University of Vermont.<\/p>\n<h3>Anthony Sgherza, 4-H Youth Health &amp; Wellbeing Program Coordinator (St. Johnsbury)<\/h3>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1438\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/site.uvm.edu\/cals-news\/files\/2022\/04\/anthony-sgherza.jpg?resize=200%2C203\" alt=\"Anthony Sgherza\" width=\"200\" height=\"203\" \/>Sgherza formerly served as program director and professor of instruction in the Department of Kinesiology, College of Public Health, at Temple University from 2017 to 2020. He is a former professor and program director of exercise science at Northern Vermont University (NVU), where he pioneered the beginning of performance development during NVU&#8217;s transition from NAIA to NCAA Division III athletics. <span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Sgherza chaired NVU&#8217;s accredited curriculum in exercise science and directed its educational recognition in strength and conditioning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prior to NVU, Sgherza held a faculty appointment at Brooklyn College where he served as program director of B.A.-M.D., a prestigious and provisional guaranteed entry to the medical school curriculum, housed in the honors academy of the college.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his professional career, Sgherza has donned numerous hats in health and human performance. He spent his formative years as a physical therapist and athletic trainer at New York University. He currently consults as strength coach and athletic trainer at XIP Training Systems in Lyndonville, Vermont. Sgherza currently serves on the leadership committee of the Child Advocacy Center in Suffolk County, MA, and on the American Psychological Association PTSD Guidelines Update Panel.<\/p>\n<h3>Christi Sherlock, Extension Business Support Generalist (Berlin)<\/h3>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1450\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/site.uvm.edu\/cals-news\/files\/2022\/04\/Christi-Sherlock.jpg?resize=200%2C203\" alt=\"A photo of Christi Sherlock\" width=\"200\" height=\"203\" \/>Christi Sherlock is a business support generalist in the Berlin Extension Office. Prior to this position, Christi spent 29 years as an office and program support generalist, also in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>In her spare time, Christi enjoys time with her family (including their Boxer, Ca$h), kayaking, reading, listening to music, photography and flower gardening.<\/p>\n<h3>Cynthia Snyder, CALS Post-award Unit Administrator<\/h3>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1456\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/site.uvm.edu\/cals-news\/files\/2022\/04\/cynthia-snyder.jpg?resize=200%2C203\" alt=\"A photo of Cynthia Snyder\" width=\"200\" height=\"203\" \/>Cynthia Snyder is the new CALS post-award unit administrator. Snyder will be joining the CALS Sponsored Project Administration (SPA) 2.0 team, supporting principal investigators (PI) with post-award grants management.<\/p>\n<p>Snyder comes to CALS with over 23 years of sponsored project experience working at UVM in various roles.
