Miller Research and Educational Center (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/cals\/asci\/farms-and-facilities\">Miller Farm<\/a>). Several buses brought students to and from the farm to enjoy a fun-filled event that welcomes new first-year and transfer students.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Students were able to meet faculty and staff from each CALS department to discuss majors. They also interacted with student club members, met the student-named dairy calf Janet, took tours of the dairy barn and horse barn, enjoyed UVM ice cream, received t-shirts, and got to meet other new students as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The annual student field day, headed by CALS Student Services, was held on August 25 at the Paul R.
