Deconstructing the outdated African Gallery led to a deinstallation of the Marble Court balcony, which has long featured nearly all-white New England artists and especially landscapes. Just as our\u00a0<em>Absences<\/em>\u00a0project uses blank spaces to envision new possibilities, the empty balcony allowed us to reconsider this longstanding tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, abstract artworks make room for the imagination. What do you see? What do you interpret?
