Professor Ivanova is an international relations and environmental policy scholar specializing in governance and sustainability. She analyzes the history and performance of the international environmental architecture, with a focus on UNEP and the evolution of US international environmental policy. Her policy work seeks to bring analytical rigor to the international negotiations on reforming the UN system for environmental governance. She has published on governance, globalization, and the environment and produced three short documentaries on global environmental governance.
