Training includes an MS in biology, graduate certificate from the Landscape Institute (Boston, MA), GIS certification and Legal Services Corporation post-graduate program. Research has focused on the intersection between nature and culture and she has written about wetlands and cultural landscapes. Environmental design projects include clients such as USFWS. She teaches at the college level and has been a life-long advocate for underserved populations.
