About the Learning Community Summer Reading Program

The Division of Academic Affairs and Student Success, in collaboration with the University Housing and Dining Services, is pleased to support the Learning Community Summer Reading Program.

The staff in each Learning Community (LC) have selected a book that complements the theme of the LC, and they will be using the book throughout the year as part of the Community Learning Model, which guides programming within our communities.

eBook redemption codes and instructions for accessing your eBooks were emailed to students in most Learning Communities (including the Patrick Leahy Honors College) on Tuesday, July 8. (Printed books were mailed to students in the LASP Program on July 8, and Steam wallet cards were mailed to students in the Gaming Collective on July 14.)

On Friday, August 22, as part of your New Student Orientation program, you will participate in a required Welcome & Book Discussion Session that will be facilitated by a UVM faculty or professional staff member. The session will include an opportunity for you to meet other students in your LC.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to campus soon. In the meantime, enjoy your book!
