About Optional Linked Courses
Each Learning Community has identified a number of traditional UVM courses that First Year students typically take that complement the themes of the Learning Community.
Click on the button below to see a list of the linked courses for all Learning Communities.
When possible, one of these optional linked courses will be added to your class schedule, and to the schedules of some other students in your Learning Community. We think that you’ll find these linked courses to be enjoyable – and most courses will fulfill one or more of your Catamount Core Curriculum – but if you’d prefer to make a change to your class schedule, that’s totally OK! The faculty or staff member you meet with during your course registration appointment in June/July can help you drop the class, choose different linked course, or add a non-linked course to your class schedule.
Don’t see a linked course on your class schedule? Don’t worry! You can work with your advisor during your course registration appointment in June/July to see if you can find one that fits with your schedule. Even if you aren’t able to add a linked course to your class schedule, there will be plenty of activities happening throughout the year in your Learning Community.
