The mission of QTPiE is to educate, advocate, and build coalitions that advance equitable policies and practices for queer and trans people in education.
Our Goals
We are a team of students, educators, and community members committed to working towards queer and trans liberation in collaboration through the following goals:
Educate
Educate government officials, education professionals, and students about policies and practices impacting queer and trans people in education across federal, state, and institutional levels.
Advocate
Advocate for equitable policies and practices for queer and trans people in education by making key information readily accessible to stakeholders.
Build Coalitions
Build coalitions of educators and community members across states and institutions to create more inclusive policies and practices for queer and trans people in education.
