The goal of the UVM Family Development Lab is to understand how parents and children learn and grow together over time. In our research, we study the ways that parents and their children influence each others’ development. We are especially interested in understanding the impact of parent-child discussions of important issues such as stress, emotions, social relationships, racism, and sexuality.
Our lab is located in Dewey Hall on the University of Vermont campus in Burlington, Vermont, but we also conduct research remotely and online.
