Women in STEM Network is an organization run by graduate students at the University of Vermont. Our goal is to foster a sense of community between women and other marginalized groups in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and related fields. Through workshops and other events, we hope to provide people from underrepresented groups in STEM with an opportunity to further their careers while enjoying time spent with colleagues.
While our group is mainly targeted towards women in STEM, we are open to anyone who is affiliated with the University of Vermont. We are inclusive of people from all fields (in and out of STEM), genders, races, etc. and are thankful for the continued support of our allies. If you are looking to get involved, head over to our Get Involved page and contact us for more information!
For a list of our upcoming events, check out our Events and News page. All events are open to both members and nonmembers. Our hope is to encourage the growth of our community by providing a range of events, from professional career building events to after work team bonding. We welcome event ideas from any member, and will provide the resources needed to plan and execute those that align with our organization’s mission.
