Zoe Macdonald Interning at National Life

This week we caught up with Zoe Macdonald, a UVM Grossman School of Business student, to see how her summer internship has gone so far.

“This summer I am working in the People Center at National Life Group, a life insurance company in Montpelier, Vermont. I have been lucky enough to have a hybrid work schedule and come to the office a couple of times a week.

Some of my main tasks as an intern have focused on talent sourcing and scheduling. For this, I work closely with the talent acquisition team in the People Center. Another component of my work has been building out a wireframe for the next National Life Group career site. This project has allowed me to work closely with other interns including Daniel Caamao, Class of 2022 at GSB, on developing key strategies for reaching top talent.

Overall, the intern program has been wonderful and through it, I have gotten to interact frequently with top executives, our CEO, and many other welcoming employees.”
