UV-Vis-NIR Spectroscopy

The Agilent Cary 7000 Universal Measurement Spectrophotometer provides high-sensitivity optical measurements across the ultraviolet (UV), visible (Vis), and near-infrared (NIR) spectral regions. The system supports transmission, absorbance, reflectance, variable-angle, and polarization-dependent measurements for liquids, thin films, coatings, and solid materials.

Equipped with the Universal Measurement Accessory (UMA), the Cary 7000 enables advanced characterization of optical materials and surfaces through automated angle-dependent and polarization-resolved spectroscopy.

Absorbance & Transmission

  • Optical measurements across the UV, visible, and NIR spectral regions
  • Quantitative absorbance analysis using Beer–Lambert relationships

Kinetic Measurements

  • Time-dependent optical monitoring across UV-Vis-NIR wavelengths

Reflectance Spectroscopy

  • Specular reflectance measurements for solid materials and coatings
  • Suitable for wavelength-dependent reflectivity studies

Variable-Angle Measurements

  • Automated angle-dependent optical characterization
  • Enables analysis of optical response as a function of incident angle
