Help your fellow Catamounts and revisit the Grossman School of Business by sharing your advice and experiences with our current students!
We are always looking for alumni for career panels, class visits, and volunteer opportunities. Interested in engaging with our current undergrads? Check out some of our opportunities below, and reach out to gsbcss@uvm.edu for more information!
Please note, we have opportunities for in-person AND remote engagement. No matter where you are, you can help your fellow Catamounts.
Career Panels and Q&As
Each semester, Grossman’s Professional Development Series offers a number of alumni panels and Q&As to help students understand the huge range of opportunities available to them after graduation.
Usually divided by theme and concentration, these events are an easy and fun way to share your advice with our first and second year students. We are always looking for young alumni (1 – 5 years out of college) to share their path — both at UVM and beyond.
Guest Lectures
With a wide range of courses each semester touching on every aspect of the business world, there is often a chance to share your experiences right in the classroom!
Reach out directly to a professor to see if there is an opportunity available in your area of expertise.
Mock Interviews
Every semester, the Professional Development Series 102 students participate in mock interviews aimed at developing career skills in a safe, supportive environment. Many of our older students cite this assignment as a critical part of their professional skill development.
This program requires dozens of volunteer interviewers to be successful. We are always looking for alumni to contribute an hour or two of their time — and we always get rave reviews from our interviewers!
We hold Mock Interviews remotely, with each volunteer receiving an assignment of 3-5 students to interview and a list of sample questions. Students are responsible for reaching out, scheduling, and attending the video interview, which typically takes 15 minutes with additional time for feedback.
