We are all about creating opportunities for UVM students to explore the Green Mountains (and beyond) through all seasons.
Club Statement
Founded in 1913, the UVM Outing Club is committed to getting as many students outside as possible! As a completely student-run organization, we facilitate day, weekend, and week-long trips in a variety of sports such as rock/ice climbing, canoeing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, hiking, and more. We have an awesome leader community, all of who are excited to foster a deeper connection between UVM and the surrounding environment.
Each semester, we host service trips where we work with local organizations like the Green Mountain Club to help with trail and shelter maintenance. Additionally, the Outing Club Social Justice Coalition is dedicated to increasing accessibility in the outdoors and challenging barriers to outdoor recreation through connection and conversation!
