Ways to Get Involved/Meet Other GSWS Students
GSWS is such a small department at UVM. Luckily, there are many clubs on campus that may make it easier to identify other GSWS students or meet others with similar interests and goals. Being able to recognize and rely on your peers is especially important in GSWS since the material can be more personal, emotionally heavy, and also community binding.
Here is a list of several relevant clubs on campus:
1 in 4, Active Minds at UVM, Alianza Latinx, Amnesty International, Asian American Student Union, Black Student Union, Books for Equality, Chinese Student Union, Coalition for Students Against Sexual Assault, College Democrats, College Undergrads Not Tolerating Sexism, Free 2 Be, Her Campus, International Socialist Organization, Justice for QTS, Muslim Student Association, OXFAM America Club at UVM, Society of Women Engineers, Vantage Point, Voices for Planned Parenthood VOX, Water Tower, Women of Color Coalition… and many more!
To find out more about a club, check out the Student Government Association (new tab).
