Useful Vocabulary

Argument: A set of reasons that aim to persuade or conclude that a point is right or wrong

Validity: An argument that does not show that the premises (reasons) are true yet the conclusion is false

Truth: That which is true in accordance with reality

Soundness: A valid argument where all of its premises are true

Logical: Formal reasoning

Logical Fallacy: Logic that superficially seems logical but relies on illogical or fallacious thinking.

Infer: Steps in reasoning that that move from premise to conclusion

Imply: Logical consequence
