Rubaina Anjum

Hailing from Bengaluru, Rubaina has over 6 years of experience working on climate and environmental issues in development. She worked as a consultant with the World Bank on a wide range of topics including climate resilience, environmental policy lending, migration, and greenhouse gas accounting.

During her PhD program Sustainable Development at UVM, she will explore how climate and environmental policies affect national welfare and inequality in East Asia and South Asia. She will combine quantitative approaches, including economic and climate modeling, with critical inquiries on distributional justice.

Rubaina holds a master’s degree in environmental management and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Duke University and BMS College of Engineering, respectively.
