Professor of Nursing
Dr. Hendrika (Rycki) Maltby has been a member of the IEDS governance committee since its inception and served as interim director during the 2012-2013 academic year. She is a professor of nursing and health sciences at the University of Vermont and is actively engaged in developing a core competency in “health diplomacy” at the university. Dr. Rycki Maltby’s background is in community/public health nursing. She has taught at universities in Canada, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, and has been at UVM since January 2000. Her research, publications, and conference presentations reflect community-based issues, with current projects of developing a cultural immersion model with international partners and cultural competency across nursing programs.
