Lincoln H. Day

Board Member of Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation

Lincoln H. Day (husband of Alice) received his BA from Yale, and both his MA and PhD from Columbia University. He was most recently Hofstee Fellow, Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute, The Hague (1994), and Senior Fellow in Demography, Research School of Social Sciences, Institute of Advanced Studies, Australian National University, Canberra, from 1973-1993.  In addition to some 80 book chapters and articles in professional journals, he is the author of 2 books, co-author of 4 others (2 of which were written in collaboration with Alice T. Day), and editor and contributing  author of 2 more.  Apart from Too Many Americans (1964), written with Alice T. Day, his best known books are: The Future of Low-Birthrate Populations (1992) and Analysing Population Trends: Differential Fertility in a Pluralistic Society (1983). Dr Day is a board member, Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, and member, Council for a Livable World; and also a member of the Cosmos Club. The documentary, Scarred Lands and Wounded Lives — The Environmental Footprint of War (2009, 68 min.) is the first film by Lincoln and Alice Day.
