The DMZ Forum is pleased to have Korean War veteran and congressman Charlie Rangel as the keynote speaker at their annual conference at the American Museum of Natural History to explore ways by which environmental factors can play a role in peace-building on the Korean peninsula. IEDS director, Dr. Saleem Ali is on the board of the DMZ Forum. A professor from North Korea will be among the speakers. Students from Cornell University’s School of Architecture who did a design studio on ways to reimgaine the DMZ in terms of environmental peace-building will also attend.
