Nutrition and Food Science Major Competes in e-Fest
Nutrition and Food Science major Dahlia Rosen is part of a company called Mitey Bites, with partner and co-founder Vladamiere Perry, an entrepreneurship and marketing major at SUNY Plattsburgh. They started the company in October 2021 and have been working hard on advancing it since. Mitey Bites is a snack food company which will utilize insect powder to create sustainable, delicious, and nutritionally well-rounded snacks. Patrick Brown Recipient of Education & Faculty Advisor Awards
Community Development and Applied Economics Adjunct Lecturer Patrick Brown recently received a Resolution of Appreciation from the Vermont State Board of Education. Heleba and Chouinard Receive Ellen Rowe Community Development Award
Debra Heleba and Lisa Chouinard of the UVM Extension Community Horticulture Program recently received the Ellen Rowe Community Development Award. This annual Extension award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in the field of community development and commemorates Ellen’s 50 years of service, by recognizing employees whose efforts personify her commitment to excellence in outreach, education, and community engagement.
