Many UVM faculty, staff, and students heeded the call for volunteers to help with emergency response and clean up from the devastating 2023 summer flooding in Vermont. A core team at UVM came together to work with the state’s joint information center that coordinated activities and volunteers to help fellow Vermonters in need. UVM Morgan Horse Farm 2023 Season Highlights

We welcomed six healthy foals in 2023.  In the photo, Apprentice Ryley Dubois stands next to a 2023 colt sired by UVM Nobel, and UVM ASCI alumna Lila Barker holds the dam, UVM Beloved.

This year’s Raffle Morgan, name UVM Fletcher, is a stunning colt by UVM Unchallenged out of UVM Serendipity. On October 28, we pulled the lucky ticket belonging to Penny Ramirez from Oklahoma. Penny and her family show Morgan horses and were ecstatic to win UVM Fletcher. UVM Fletcher has headed west to his new home with Penny under the direction of LaRica Performance Horses. CREAM Students Provide Hands-on Learning at 4-H Bovine Bonanza

The 4-H clover stands for head, heart, hands, and health. 4-H is an Extension program that educates children of all backgrounds through hands-on experiences.
