February 2022 New Hires
Vander Gac, Northeast SARE Communications Professional
Vander Gac (they/them) joined UVM in February as a communications professional for Northeast SARE. Gac’s role includes writing and producing content to share the stories of Northeast SARE with potential applicants, grantees, supporters, partners, and the farming public. NECAFS Receives Funding for Produce Safety Research Consortium

Bat Ticks Discovered in Vermont by UVM Entomologists
The first record of a soft tick in Vermont was made in 2021 by Entomologist Cheryl Sullivan Ph.D., a scientist working at the Entomology Research Laboratory with Professors Bruce L.
