New Funding from NOAA to Study Climate Change Resilience for Mobile Homes
UVM is part of a new regional collaboration to study the climate-related vulnerabilities of mobile home park communities. With funding announced this week from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA)s Climate Adaptation Partnerships program, the project brings together researchers from the Universities of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, as well as all three northern New England State Climatologists.

Darby Receives EPA Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Grant
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) selected the University of Vermont as one of six recipients that will receive a total of $780,000 from the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP) grant competition. The selected grantees will explore the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in agriculture over the course of two years to reduce the risk of pests and pesticides. NOAA Grant Awarded for Water Hazard Forecast Design Center
Community Development and Applied Economics Professor Chris Koliba announced a new grant from NOAA via the University of Alabama, to develop a Water Hazard Forecast Design Center. CALS faculty will be mounting national surveys, gaming and simulation projects, and regional-scale focus group work across the country.
