The UVM Horticulture Research and Education Center (HREC) is a 97 acre property that was purchased by the University of Vermont (UVM) in the early 1950’s. Located in South Burlington, VT, it has been the primary field laboratory for College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) applied research and outreach in horticultural and agronomic crops. Northwest Crops and Soils Team Reports on Winter Grain Field Trials

It is a busy time of year for grain growers here in the Northeast, including the farmers and researchers at Borderview Research Farm in Alburgh, Vermont. The University of Vermont Extension Northwest Crops and Soils team (NWCS) is conducting 10 winter grain field trials including studies focused on rye, wheat, spelt, and barley. New Research Announced from Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station

Six new research projects are being announced for the Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) at the University of Vermont (UVM). They join 29 projects already in progress. This work is funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Hatch and Hatch Multistate Capacity Grants.
