Community Development and Applied Economics Professor Chris Koliba announced a new grant from NOAA via the University of Alabama, to develop a Water Hazard Forecast Design Center. CALS faculty will be mounting national surveys, gaming and simulation projects, and regional-scale focus group work across the country. Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences Assistant Professor Andrea Etter’s lab had their first manuscript accepted for publication in Frontiers in Veterinary Science, detailing the results from three years of adult backyard chicken sampling for Salmonella enterica.
