In this role, she supports all members of the CDAE community. Prior to joining UVM, Claxton was employed by Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for nearly 12 years, where she served as the coordinator for student affairs. National Academy of Medicine Names Meredith Niles An Emerging Leader in Health and Medicine

Meredith Niles, associate professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences, has been named an Emerging Leader in Health and Medicine by the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). Niles is one of ten scholars nationwide to be selected for the 2022 class of the Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Program, a major NAM initiative which provides a platform for a new generation of leaders to collaborate with the academy and its members to advance science, combat persistent challenges in health and medicine, and spark transformative change to improve health for all. Darby Receives EPA Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Grant

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) selected the University of Vermont as one of six recipients that will receive a total of $780,000 from the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP) grant competition. The selected grantees will explore the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in agriculture over the course of two years to reduce the risk of pests and pesticides.
