A great weekend was had by all who attended the 24th annual Outdoor Family Weekend (OFW) event hosted by UVM Extension’s 4-H program, in partnership with the Vermont Departments of Fish and Wildlife (VFW), and Forests, Parks, and Recreation (FPR). NOAA Grant Awarded for Water Hazard Forecast Design Center
Community Development and Applied Economics Professor Chris Koliba announced a new grant from NOAA via the University of Alabama, to develop a Water Hazard Forecast Design Center. CALS faculty will be mounting national surveys, gaming and simulation projects, and regional-scale focus group work across the country. Backyard Chicken Salmonella Sampling Manuscript Accepted
Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences Assistant Professor Andrea Etter’s lab had their first manuscript accepted for publication in Frontiers in Veterinary Science, detailing the results from three years of adult backyard chicken sampling for Salmonella enterica.
