The 4-H clover stands for head, heart, hands, and health. 4-H is an Extension program that educates children of all backgrounds through hands-on experiences. Moo-ving Toward Mental Well-Being: The Therapeutic Power of Cows

On Spear Street, just down the road from UVM’s athletic campus, is the Paul R. Miller Research and Educational Center. The Miller Barn is home to the Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management, or CREAM program. This student-led dairy herd reaches beyond animal science and dairy management, placing emphasis on community development and gratitude practices. 4-H Bonanza Showcases Student Passion for All Things Bovine

Seventy-two 4-H members from across Vermont participated in the 4-H Bovine Bonanza, held at the University of Vermont’s Paul R. Miller Research & Education Center on November 5, 2022. The instructors for the event were the Cooperative for Real Education in Agriculture Management (CREAM) students. With the farm hosting the event, it brings 4-H members to UVM and it gives the CREAM students a chance to showcase their passion and knowledge. Wadsworth Receives UVM Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award

UVM Animal and Veterinary Sciences Lecturer and CREAM Advisor Stephen Wadsworth, DVM, has been awarded the 2022 Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award for his positive impact on students both in and beyond the classroom. The award, given annually by the UVM Office of the Provost, is the highest teaching honor given by the University.
