The UVM Proctor Maple Research Center (PMRC) was awarded the Richard G. Haas Distinguished Service Award from the North American Maple Syrup Council (NAMSC), in recognition of 75 years of demonstration and outreach in support of the North American maple industry. The driveway at the Proctor Maple Research Center (PMRC) now has a name. The Town of Underhill had requested it be named for E911 purposes. Because this is the 75th Anniversary year of PMRC, UVM chose “Marvin Taylor Road” to honor the founders, Dr. James Marvin and Dr. Fred Taylor.
