Barituka Bekee, Post Doctoral Associate, Community Development and Applied Economics

Barituka BekeeBarituka Bekee joins UVM from the University of Missouri where he co-directed the Deaton Scholars Program, and obtained his PhD in agricultural and applied economics, as well as a certificate in society and sustainability. New Research Announced from Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station

Six new research projects are being announced for the Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) at the University of Vermont (UVM). They join 29 projects already in progress. This work is funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Hatch and Hatch Multistate Capacity Grants. CALS in the News-September 2023

Joshua Faulkner was quoted in a Popular Resistance article about severe storm events and their increasing frequency in the Northeast. His Farming and Climate Change Program at the University of Vermont works with farmers to build climate resilience and adaptation strategies.

The Associated Press of Pakistan reported on speakers who highlighted the growing challenges to river deltas across the world, threatened by sea level rise, flooding, salt water intrusion, forced migration, water scarcity and water security.
