New Research Announced from Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station

Six new research projects are being announced for the Vermont Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) at the University of Vermont (UVM). They join 29 projects already in progress. This work is funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Hatch and Hatch Multistate Capacity Grants. Joshua Faulkner was quoted in a Popular Resistance article about severe storm events and their increasing frequency in the Northeast. His Farming and Climate Change Program at the University of Vermont works with farmers to build climate resilience and adaptation strategies.

The Associated Press of Pakistan reported on speakers who highlighted the growing challenges to river deltas across the world, threatened by sea level rise, flooding, salt water intrusion, forced migration, water scarcity and water security. Bradley Publishes Research on Whole-Milk Dairy Benefits

UVM Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences Lecturer Beth Bradley recently published a review article with her colleague at the National Dairy Council, Moises Torres-Gonzalez. Her research focused on the biological underpinnings by which whole-milk dairy foods beneficially affect risk markers for cardiometabolic health.
