Patrick Brown Recipient of Education & Faculty Advisor Awards

Community Development and Applied Economics Adjunct Lecturer Patrick Brown recently received a Resolution of Appreciation from the Vermont State Board of Education. In the resolution, he was recognized and commended for his service and commitment to the State of Vermont as he concluded his time on the board.

Brown was also recognized as making invaluable contributions to the board as a member of their Independent School Approvals Committee and the Education Quality Standards Committee. Click here to read the entire resolution (PDF).

The UVM Alpha Rho Chapter of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity (AGR) presented Brown with their Fraternity/Sorority Life 2023 Advisor Award, for Outstanding Faculty Advisor of the Year.

Nationally, AGR awards individuals and organizations for, “outstanding achievements in the academic year. The awards presented to Alpha Gamma Rho members, chapters, and advisers showcase the highest levels of leadership, scholarship, philanthropy, and community service. The Fraternity is proud to celebrate these award winners.”

The fraternity thanked Brown in a Facebook post for “the support you have provided our chapter over the past year. These achievements are not possible without you, and would be meaningless without the strength and knowledge we have gained thanks to your contributions.”
