UVM College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Associate Dean and Director of Extension Roy Beckford wrote a poignant farewell about the retirement of Will Mikell, Across the Fence (ATF) producer. Mikell worked at UVM for 23 years and as the ATF producer for 22 of those years. Prior to UVM, he was a reporter, news anchor and producer at WCAX for 17 years. Keller Receives National Science Foundation Grant for Alpine Plant Research

UVM Department of Plant Biology Associate Professor Steve Keller was awarded a $497,476 grant, as part of a larger $2.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), for research into the effects of climate change on alpine plants in the northeastern United States. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has proclaimed October 1-7, 2023, as National 4-H Week! 4-H is the largest youth development organization in the United States; a network of 500,000 volunteers and 3,500 4-H professionals that provides caring and supportive mentoring to 6 million 4-H’ers.
