Barituka Bekee, Post Doctoral Associate, Community Development and Applied Economics
Barituka Bekee joins UVM from the University of Missouri where he co-directed the Deaton Scholars Program, and obtained his PhD in agricultural and applied economics, as well as a certificate in society and sustainability. Ashley McLeod has joined the UVM Foundation as director of major gifts for CALS. She joins UVM from Middlebury College, where she was a leadership gifts officer working with major gift donors in the New York City metropolitan area and the Southeast. Prior to Middlebury, she held multiple fundraising roles at Williams College.
Anaka Aiyar is a health economist who is passionate about studying health and food security of people living in resource constrained contexts. Her research program adopts a transdisciplinary perspective in evaluating health interventions and offers actionable recommendations to enhance the efficacy of health interventions. Aiyar’s research explores questions related to access, affordability, availability, of community resources and the impacts of policies on these resources.
