UVM STEM Ambassadors hosted a hands-on STEM Showcase for 55-plus youths ages 8-14 on Saturday, November 4. This interactive event featured seven unique workshops including Galactic Garb: Dressing for the Stars, What floats your boat: The Amazing Boat Race, and Let’s Go for Gold: Robot Olympics, among others. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Ambassadors program is a collaboration between UVM Extension 4-H, the UVM College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. The newly established STEM Ambassadors, undergraduate CEMS and CALS students, kicked off their first showcase, sharing STEM activities with 36 young Vermonters on Saturday, December 4th at the South Burlington Extension office.
