NOAA Grant Awarded for Water Hazard Forecast Design Center
Community Development and Applied Economics Professor Chris Koliba announced a new grant from NOAA via the University of Alabama, to develop a Water Hazard Forecast Design Center. CALS faculty will be mounting national surveys, gaming and simulation projects, and regional-scale focus group work across the country. Research on Climate Change and Lake Champlain’s Legacy Phosphorus Published
Community Development and Applied Economics Professor Asim Zia is receiving media coverage after the publication of a research paper entitled, “Climate Change-Legacy Phosphorus Synergy Hinders Lake Response to Aggressive Water Policy Targets.” The research investigated the impacts that climate change is having on the ability to meet water quality standards in Lake Champlain.
