UVM Extension Women’s Agricultural Network (WAgN) and New Farmer Project Coordinator Beth Holtzman have been awarded a $73,338 grant from the Northeast Extension Risk Management Education Program, for the Building Human Risk Management Know-How Among Women and Beginning Farmers project.
The project will help farmers and farm employees across the Northeast learn about and adopt ergonomic, injury prevention, wellness, communication and leadership practices to create and maintain productive, well-functioning teams. This project is part of the Farm Labor Dashboard initiative.
Collaborators on the project include the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, Renewing the Countryside, the Pennsylvania State University Ag Safety and Health program, and American Farmland Trust.
