Congratulations to Agroecology and Landscape Design Junior Mari Rosenzweig, who was awarded a summer internship at Longwood Gardens, one of the most prestigious botanical gardens in the country.

Mari credits her professors Mark Starrett and Eric von Wettberg with “[teaching] me a lot about plant ID and that is very important information that I will be using this summer. Between them and Terry Bradshaw always cheering me on throughout school, I feel prepared to handle this internship. I would not have this opportunity without them.”

What advice would Mari offer to other students seeking internships? “I would say as silly as it sounds to just go for it. While this was my top choice, I didn’t fully think I would ever get it, but still applied. Always apply since you might get an interview like I did and, as long as you are well prepared for the interview, you have a much better chance.”

She would love to have you visit this summer. Longwood Gardens is an hour west of Philadelphia, PA.
