Spring comes early to Vermont’s 100-acre wood on March 3, 4, and 5, for the 2023 Vermont Flower Show at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction. The Friends of the Horticulture Farm (FHF) will be there, easing out of hibernation with blooming crabapples and forsythia, raffle prizes, and guest curator chats about growing grapes, lilacs and more.

Visit booth #12 at the show to meet with FHF members, and take a virtual tour of the UVM Horticulture, Research, and Education Center. Also, ask them anything about gardening!

Highlights for the FHF booth include three sessions of “Curator Chats” with presenters including:

  • Horticulture Farm Director Dr. Terry Bradshaw.
  • Lilac Collections Curator Kitty Werner.
  • Rhododendron and Conifer Collections Curator Paul Wieczoreck.

Visit the FHF website to learn about and sign up for workshops, events, and hands-on horticulture opportunities. Become a “Friend” with the many other gardening and nature enthusiasts who are dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the plant collections and natural areas at the UVM Horticulture Farm.
