Saffron, the stigmas of a fall-blooming crocus flower, is the most expensive spice and medicinal herb in the world. It is now grown in many areas of North America by small, diversified farmers and could strengthen sustainable agriculture.

Experts and growers from the US and Lebanon will share their knowledge about growing, harvesting and selling this precious crop. World-renown filmmakers Gelareh Kiazand and Yara Elmjouie will share information on their global investigation of saffron adulteration.
