Spring Break in Bolivia: Dangl Presents Research on Indigenous Movements in La Paz

Ben Dangl, lecturer in the Dept. of Community Development and Applied Economics, spent spring break in La Paz, Bolivia as part of his research on social and political change within the country. While there, he presented his research in talks at the Universidad Mayor de San Andres and the Universidad Publica de El Alto focusing on local Indigenous movements and the decolonization of Bolivian history.

Prior to UVM, Dangl worked as a journalist for nearly two decades covering politics, protest movements and human rights issues, and has published three books on Latin American politics, natural resource conflicts and grassroots strategies for social change.
