The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is pleased to congratulate Steph Dion, Assistant Dean of Human Resources and Business Operations, on receiving the Our Common Ground Staff Award, given annually by the UVM President. The award recognizes UVM staff who exemplify the qualities of UVM’sOur Common Groundvalues and who have made a significant impact on the university through their expression of these values: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, Openness, Justice, Responsibility.
In the words of one nominator Jane Kolodinsky, Steph “works tirelessly for the good of UVM with a sense of ‘humanness.’ Steph listens to all sides and spreads sunshine where it is needed, giving praise where due. Her integrity rises to the forefront in every decision and task she undertakes.”
She has been praised as a mentor, an advocate for women, a diplomatic leader, connector and community builder. Our community benefits tremendously from Steph’s wealth of knowledge and innovation. Congratulations, Steph!
