UVM Horticulture Farm Bloom Time Festival Happening May 20

Join the Friends of the Horticulture Farm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, for the 24th Annual Bloom Time Festival, at the UVM Horticulture Research and Education Center. The Center is located off Shelburne Road at 65 Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington, VT.

Experience the beauty of spring from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., as you wander through the collections of lilacs, crabapples, magnolias and perennials. Listen to talks from collections curators and horticulture experts on topics ranging from growing a pollinator garden, controlling invasive species, and planting trees for your community.

Enjoy a wagon ride around the farm, get your face painted, take a scavenger hunt, and listen to a ukulele band! All activities are FREE. Bring the family and a picnic lunch to enjoy under the trees. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the farm.

The Friends of the Horticulture Farm is a grassroots organization dedicated to protecting, enhancing and promoting the significant plant collections and natural areas of the UVM Horticultural Research and Education Center in South Burlington, Vermont, (Hort Farm) for education, research, and public enrichment. Members include local garden clubs, master gardeners, professional horticulturists, landscape architects, gardeners, and people who love gardens.
