UVM Animal and Veterinary Sciences students enrolled in Advanced Dairy Management at the W.H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute have successfully competed for acceptance into the Cornerstone Dairy Academy, offered through the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin. Building on a decade of migrant farmworker health outreach by dedicated, committed and mostly part-time UVM Extension staff, the Vermont Department of Health awarded Principal Investigator Naomi Wolcott-MacCausland a $1,300,000 grant to ensure greater equity and access to COVID-19 vaccines for those disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
