Extension Milk Quality Workshop to be Held August 8, 2023

A milk quality workshop will be held on August 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the UVM Paul R. Miller Research and Educational Center in South Burlington, VT. The workshop is free and refreshments will be provided. Register for the workshop here – https://go.uvm.edu/milk

Dr. Paul Virkler of Quality Milk Production Services at Cornell University will share his expertise on troubleshooting milk quality issues on farm.

This workshop is geared toward dairy producers and service providers interested in learning more about milk quality best practices, as well as how to troubleshoot milk quality issues on your own farm. Participants will be broken into small groups and able to rotate through several stations that will cover milk quality topics such as: environment and housing, milking protocols in the parlor, culturing and milk diagnostics, as well as records analysis and economic impact.
